You can find all forms and camper directions located HERE.

What are the camp days and times?

Camps last for one week and run Monday - Friday.  The Full-day schedule is 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. The Half-day schedule is 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

What ages are your camps geared towards?

The science curriculum is developed for ages 5-12 years old.   We suggest that the child be at least five and is either currently in Kindergarten or has graduated Kindergarten.  The child needs to be able to adapt to a classroom situation.

What is the price of summer camp?

Full-day camps range in price from $299 - $319. Half-day camps range in price from $194 - $207. Visit our Locations page to find the exact price of your science camp site.

What is the difference between full-day and half-day camps?

Our curriculum has been developed for a full-day camp experience; however, we do offer half-day programs to accommodate parents and campers.

A full-day of camp runs from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm and a half-day camp runs from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon. The full-day camper will participate in 20 plus hands-on activities. The half-day camper participates in 10+ hands on activities. All campers who attend space & rocketry camp participate in the rocket launch and may stay full day.

What happens if I'm late to camp?

In most cases being late to camp isn't a problem if you are already registered. When you arrive at camp, seek out the Lead Instructor.

What happens if I miss a day of camp?

In general, missing a day of camp is not a problem as most of the lessons are stand-alone, one-hour activities. Some lessons may require some catch up with our science instructor.

What do I do if I need to reschedule my child's camp week?

If you need to reschedule your child's camp week, please contact our call center at (888) 458-1812 for options.

What if I need to cancel my child's camp week?

Please be aware that Champions Science Adventures has a no refund policy for cancellations made within 30 days of the start of camp. Please contact our call center at (888) 458-1812 for details.

How are the campers grouped together?

Champions Science Adventures Camps are led in a group environment incorporating all campers. Within each camp, children are grouped by age allowing instructors to cover projects and experiments at an age appropriate level. Campers will be challenged by Champions Science Adventures’ exciting programs regardless of their grade level or age.

What is the student teacher ratio?

There are usually 12 – 15 campers per group.

Can I request children to be grouped together?

Yes. We find that children enjoy camp even more when they are sharing the learning experiences with a friend. Simply contact our call center at least three weeks prior to the start of camp to make your request.

How do I decide what camp is appropriate for my child?

Our best advice is to consider your child's interests when choosing a camp. All Champions Science Adventures camps are designed to be equally appropriate for boys and girls.

Are any of your camps geared more specifically to older or younger children?

Our camps are exciting and filled with fun hands-on activities that are appropriate for all grade levels. Because we group children by grade level, our instructors present the material at an age appropriate level.

Do you provide transportation?

We do not provide transportation to and from camp.

Are snacks or meals provided?

We request that each child bring a snack or two along with their lunch, a beverage and plenty of water.

Who teaches the camps?

Over 60% of our instructors are credentialed teachers. Others are graduate or college students in the education field. All instructors have experience in working with groups of kids and an enthusiasm for hands-on learning.

How is the camp staff selected?

First, we place employment packets with schools in the community. We include public and private elementary schools, colleges and universities. Then, we put our potential instructors through a two-step screening process. Some of our requirements are: experience with k-6th grade children, a love of teaching, leadership skills and enthusiasm for hands on learning. In addition, once individuals are background and reference checked, Champions Science Adventures instructors are required to attend 30 – 40 hours of training that covers the curriculum, classroom management skills, group leadership and teaching methods.

Is the camp staff trained in first aid?

All of our Lead Instructors are first aid and CPR certified. We also encourage all of our instructors to become certified in basic first aid.

Do the children ever leave the campsite?

Safety is our number one concern. For this reason, children do not leave the campsite.

Who designs the science curriculum?

Our curriculum is developed by our program development department who specializes in a variety of science disciplines.

Do you offer other programs?

Currently Champions Science Adventures offers after school clubs, classroom visits, science classroom kits, as well as our camp programs.

What does my child need to bring to camp?

We suggest a hat, plenty of sunscreen and a lot of water since at some locations the majority of time is spent outdoors.
Half-day campers should at least bring a morning snack and drink.
Full-day campers should bring a morning snack and drink and a packed lunch with a drink.

Do I need to bring anything special on the first day of camp?

Yes. Please bring the completed medical release form. If your child is taking medication, fill out a medication form, and bring the medication in the original container. Bring the confirmation e-mail especially if you registered on the weekend prior to the first day of camp.

May I stay with my child?

Parents are always welcome. However, we have found that giving your child enough space to allow them to interact with other kids will make for a better camp experience.

Do I need to report my child's absence?

No. If your child misses a day of camp let the instructors know the next day and they will help your child catch up with the home project.

How are bathroom breaks conducted?

All children are escorted to the restrooms by our staff. Bathroom buddies are not allowed. They must be accompanied by an adult.

When do I receive my confirmation e-mail?

You should receive your confirmation e-mail within 24 hours of enrolling in camp.

Can I sign my child up the first day of camp?

You may be able to register onsite through the call center if the Lead Instructor still has space available for that week of camp. We recommend you visit our web site or call our call center to enroll prior to the first day of camp.

What should my child wear?

It is important that they are comfortable especially if it is an outdoor camp. We recommend casual clothes such as jeans, shorts, t-shirts, closed toe shoes, caps etc.

What if my child gets injured or ill while at camp?

The Lead Instructor will document any situation that results in an injury and will contact the parent as needed or in an emergency contact 911 in addition to the parent.

Will I be able to contact my child if there is an emergency?

If there is an emergency situation and the parent must contact their child at camp they can call our call center at (888) 458-1812.
