Serving Students Performing Below Grade Level

Lessons Aligned to State Standards
Includes 75 lessons providing the scope and sequence for levels 4-8 with both synchronous and asynchronous instruction (i.e., during the course of each 60-minute session, students work both independently and simultaneously with the instructor).

Pre-Tests and Individual Learning Plans
Administers pre-tests to develop a customized learning plan for each student. This Individual Learning Plan identifies each student’s proficiency gaps and provides a prescribed program of instruction. To learn more about testing, click here.

Live Instructors
Implements average instructor-to-student ratio of 4:1. Instructors provide individual attention and support to each student utilizing the online platform. Delivers multiple opportunities for one-to-one learning through our Raise Hand feature (allows students to simply click a button to ask questions at any time during the lesson). Also allows instructor-initiated intervention as needed. Includes motivational stamps -- Instructors can place a stamp, such as a star or smiley face, on a student’s work as positive feedback.

Other important components support instructor effectiveness and student learning:

Instructor console: This screen allows instructors to monitor students during the session.
Participant list: The instructor will see all students logged into the session via a tabbing system at the top of their console.
Chat feature: Students and instructors can interact via a chat window at any point during the session. Each student has his/her own chat window.
Audio feature: Instructors and students are able to verbally communicate through headsets while logged into the session.
Whiteboard: Students and instructors can interact by writing, typing or drawing on the whiteboard. Students use their mouse and the drawing tool to write on the whiteboard.
