Flexible Programming and Customized Schedules
Champions® will work closely with you to develop programs that meet your specific school or district needs. Summer program options can include various combinations of Reading, Math and Science. These programs can also vary in length from 1–8 weeks with daily schedules ranging from 60 minutes of instruction to a full day of programming. Whatever your summer focus may be, we have a program that can work for you.

Reading
Up to 60 Hours of Instruction Available
Instructors guide students through lessons that address the National Reading Panel’s five key areas of instruction and include:
  • Direct instruction
  • Modeling
  • Guided practice
  • Independent practice and application activities
  • Engaging in narrative and expository text selections

Math
Up to 60 Hours of Instruction Available
National Research Council and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics based programs move students from the concrete to the abstract and include:
  • Manipulatives
  • Reinforcement of basic math skills
  • Guided and independent practice of concepts through word problems
  • Data collection
  • Effective questioning techniques

Science
Up to 20 hours of Instruction Available
A hands-on academic science program aligned to state and national science education standards that:
  • Helps students to achieve scientific literacy
  • Covers life science, chemistry, physics, earth science, and space and flight
  • Develops science vocabulary
  • Allows students to apply concepts through experiments and hands-on activities

Online Math
Up to 60 hours of Instruction Available
Districts now have a compelling option to address the unique math needs of students in grades 4-8:
  • Intensive learning assistance
  • Computer adaptive test, unmatched in the industry, that pinpoints student skill gaps
  • Real-time results that generate an Individualized Learning Plan to address identified skill gaps
