Enrichment Programs S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math)

Innovation is the difference between simply using technology and taking it beyond the instruction manual to bring ideas to life. K–8 children in our STEAM programs will learn to take their ideas to the next level through advanced technology.

Why STEAM?

STEAM is an approach to learning that results in children who take thoughtful risks, engage in hands-on learning, persist in problem solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process.

STEAM adds the arts into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and focuses on using technology to teach art practices, elements, and design principles.

Cubelets

Grades: K–1

Robotic building blocks with pre-set behaviors (Action, Sense, Think) that allow smaller hands to tinker and build while learning foundational programming skills like pattern recognition and cause and effect.

Ozobot

Grades: K–8

The world’s smallest smart robot that can be as fun or challenging as you make it: Give younger students an introduction to coding using colored pens while 2–8 students learn intermediate programming using OzoBlockly, which is built on Google’s visual, color-coded programming language Blockly. Ozobot introduces programming and coding in an approachable, creative way.

Robotics

Grades: 2–8

NAO, a humanoid robot, is a new way to reinforce learning from the school day and introduce computer science, programming, and robotics through self-expression as children program him to tell stories, dance, and play games.

3-D Print & Design

Grades: 2–8

Allows children to bring ideas to life in a meaningful, tangible way. Students will learn to design a model using the CADD software of engineers and print their creations from the leading 3-D printer.

CRITICAL SKILLS & CAREER READINESS

Our programs expose children to the latest in advanced technology and the leading industry platforms in engineering, coding, programming, and robotics.
