Child Care Assistance

Champions partners with agencies to help qualifying families access low- to no-cost tuition.

Next Steps

  1. Check your eligibility. 
    Visit your state’s agency website to find out if you qualify. TIP: Ask the agency about a 12-month authorization t o avoid child care gaps. 

  2. Submit the application to your agency. 
    Some sites require a provider ID—ask your site director. Processing times vary, so don’t wait! 

  3. Enroll.
    Select your program(s) and enroll today

  4. Submit your approval. 
    Email or provide your authorization voucher to your site director.
 
Need to switch child care providers or locations?
Submit a Change of Provider Request to your agency with your case number, child’s name, and new provider ID.
 
How to renew your financial aid. 
  • Know your renewal date. 
    Contact your agency at least 30 days before your assistance ends, and keep an eye out for renewal notifications.

  • Renew on time. 
    Submit your paperwork on time to avoid a lapse in coverage and/or out-of-pocket costs. If your assistance ends or lapses, reapply as soon as possible if you’re eligible. 

  • Submit your approval. 
    Once your assistance is renewed, email or submit a copy to your site director.

Child Care Tax Credit

Tax credits can help lower your out-of-pocket child care costs—sometimes even more than tax deductions!** Your family may qualify for:
  • Federal Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit: 
    Up to $2,100 for two or more dependents
    Up to $1,050 for one dependent
  • Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC): 
    Up to $4,328 for one child (based on income)
    Up to $7,152 for two children (based on income)
    Up to $8,046 for three or more children (based on income)
  • Child Tax Credit: 
    $2,000 per child under age 16

  • State Tax Benefits
    More savings may be available in your state. Check with your tax advisor to make sure you’re claiming every benefit you’re eligible for. File before the deadline to claim your benefits!

Military Discounts

Provide your military ID to your site director to see if you qualify for special military family savings.

More Ways to Save

Multi-Child Discount
When you enroll more than one child, you’ll receive a tuition discount. Talk with your site director about your sibling situation. 
 
Employer-Sponsored Discounts
Your employer may offer tuition assistance as part of your employee benefits package. Check with your HR manager to see what’s available to you.
 
Refer-a-Friend
Send a friend to one of our sites, and when they enroll full-time, you may be eligible for a tuition credit.
